Hayden McMahon
Hi, my name is Hayden McMahon and I am a recruiter with the Huntsville Police Department. I joined the Huntsville Police Department in May 2021, after serving as a police officer in Peoria, IL. Throughout my career in law enforcement, I have had the opportunity to contribute to various units, including patrol, Honor Guard, Crisis Intervention Team, and the Recruitment Team. Relocating to Huntsville and becoming part of HPD has been a positive and rewarding decision for my family and me. I am grateful for the many opportunities the department has provided. By drawing on my knowledge and experience from two different departments, I am committed to encouraging certified police officers considering a department change. James Pratt
Hi, my name is James Pratt and I am a recruiter for the Huntsville Police Department as well as a member of HPD SWAT. I was a member of the 54th Basic Academy session in 2015. Since then, I have spent nine years as a patrol officer for the department. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of building strong relationships while gaining invaluable knowledge and experience. In addition to my patrol duties, I have served in various auxiliary roles, including Field Training Officer, member of the Crisis Intervention Team, Crisis Negotiation Response Team and SWAT. With this wealth of experience, my goal is now to assist prospective applicants by providing them with the information and guidance needed to make informed decisions and prepare for successful careers with HPD.
